What's So Special About This Diet & Lifestyle?
Today, many are searching for the perfect diet plan. It has actually become a pretty prosperous industry; many people are realizing that the way they look, feel, and live their lives must be wrong in some way. The good news: there is a diet and lifestyle totally suitable for everyone and it's the simplest, easiest, most cost effective out there. Isn't this exciting?! Think of it: a universal method of reclaiming your health. We especially need something like this at the present, the way our world is headed.
In order to know what are the best foods, we must study God's original plan for man's diet. He who created man and understands his needs appointed Adam his food. "Behold," He said, "I have given you every herb yielding seed,... and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food." Upon leaving Eden to gain his livelihood by tilling the earth under the curse of sin, man received permission to eat also "the herb of the field".
Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet.

Principles of Proper Food Combining & Eating
Eat slowly, chewing the food thoroughly so it will be well mixed with the saliva, since digestion begins in the mouth. Fruit and vegetables taken at one meal produce acidity of the stomach; then impurity of the blood results, and the mind is not clear because the digestion is imperfect.” You should understand that every organ of the body is to be treated with respect. In the matter of diet, you must reason from cause to effect.
Many are made sick by the indulgence of their appetite.... So many varieties are introduced into the stomach that fermentation is the result. This condition brings on acute disease, and death frequently follows.

Avoid drinking with meals, this dilutes the various digestive juices. The more liquid taken into the stomach at mealtime, the more difficult it is for the food to be digested. Drink either 30 minutes prior to eating or 2 hours after completing your meal.
The less that condiments and desserts are placed upon our tables, the better it will be for all who partake of the food. All mixed and complicated foods are injurious to the health of human beings. Dumb animals would never eat such a mixture as is often placed in the human stomach.... The richness of food and complicated mixtures of food are health destroying.
Never let a morsel of food pass your lips between your regular meals. Eat what you ought, but eat it at one meal, and then wait until the next. Also, two meals a day prove far more healthful, satisfying, and temperate than the standard three. You see, it takes five hours for a fruit-based meal to be completely digested and for the digestive organs to be thoroughly rested; it takes six hours for thus to happen with a vegetable-based meal. Thus, with three meals a day, the body is constantlybeing labored and taxed with strenuous efforts. Not to mention: when you eat your last meal right before you go to bed (which should be early in the evening), you prevent your body from the rest it was designed to have at the close of each day, as it is still working very hard at digestion.Counsels on Diet & Foods, p. 113
Overconsumption of fat is very dangerous. You must understand that our bodies, designed by God, are only capable of digesting two teaspoons of fat per hour. This means that your typical raw food cuisine, being composed largely of fatty foods, can take anywhere around 20 hours to digest! Unbelievable! Just be sure to go easy on your nuts, seeds, avocados, and oils.
